Over the past ten years, Albany County has received over $7 million in federal and state grant funds to implement more than 30 energy efficiency improvements at County
facilities
And there is still much more to do.
With the assistance of NYSERDA, the County recently completed an energy audit, which recommends additional projects at 10 County facilities, including the Times Union Center.
These upgrades will cut our energy bill by $650,000 annually and save enough energy each year to light Yankee Stadium for five and a half seasons.
